8 EASY STEPS
STEP 1: MAKE YOUR RESERVATION
Book an AirBnB stay with one of our six partner hosts and use the code "Breakout" in checkout comments. All of our rooms cost $100 in addition to your AirBnB rental price and is paid directly to the host during checkout.
STEP 2: CONFIRM YOUR SCENARIO ROOM
Your host will contact you and ask which room you are looking to complete, along with recommendations based on your party and location. Note that you are allowed to pick any room for any rental - we just have some we think match the theme better than others!

STEP 3: CHECK IN AND GET INSTRUCTIONS
Follow your AirBnB host's instructions for check-in. Your instructions for your escape room will be outside the main entry door in a plastic protector sleeve.
STEP 4: READ THE RULES
Open the instructions document and start with the house rules. In general, note that furniture, decorations, and wall hangings will not need to be moved to complete the room. All items that are used as a clue will be marked with a bright red dot. Don't waste your time staring at those old magazines in the bathroom with no red dot!

STEP 5: START YOUR TIMER AND PLAY
Every room has a sand dial with a set amount of time designed to push you while still giving you enough time to get through clues at a reasonable pace. If you do not complete the puzzle before the last sand falls, feel free to keep going OR open the envelope taped to your dial for instructions to finish the final clues so you can still read the story and receive your wifi code or door lock codes for special secret rooms.
STEP 6: PLACE YOUR CLUES IN THE BIN
There will be a bright orange bin in your final room/secret room for you to place all the items you used in your escape. This is to help out our team in getting things set up for the next group and so that you don't have to have it take up your beautiful cabin, loft, or beach bungalow!
STEP 7: SHARE YOUR ESCAPE!
Take pictures and show off your fun time. But please do not share any clues or revealed items. Throughout you are allowed to use your phone, but it's way less fun. Take a picture before and after for best results! And take a picture of the sand dial once you finish to show how fast you figured it all out.
STEP 8: ENJOY YOUR RENTAL
Kick back and enjoy your AirBnB accommodations.
